I went a slightly different route with this and chose to list ten books with animal main characters. The Wind in the Willows is the only book on this list that I dislike. All covers are linked to Goodreads.

Thank you! I just realized that I completely forgot Winnie-the-Pooh! But since they're technically stuffed animals, I don't know if they count.
DeleteI'm not a big fan of animals as main characters, but funny enough, I've read most of these books! The Rats of Nimh movie scared the snot out of me when I was a kid. I liked the book, though.

It's not a genre I gravitate towards either, but I read most of these when I was younger and I really enjoyed them then. I think I didn't even know there *was* a Rats of NIMH movie lol!

ReplyDeleteI read The Mouse with the Question Mark Tail when I was eleven and absolutely loved it! Little Bo was cute, but I don't remember much about it.
DeleteCharlotte's Webb is a family favorite in our house. Growing up, one of my favorite books with animal protagonist's was Harry Cat's Pet Puppy by George Selden. I haven't re-read it in years. I wonder if it still holds up.
