Purging My Paper TBR

I started using Goodreads in 2024. Before then, I kept all the books I wanted to read on a paper list ... and now I'm trying to read through all of those. I have one advantage: that list isn't growing, unlike my Goodreads TBR! But I added these books a long time ago, and I'm sure there are ones I no longer want to read ... so let's find out!

These are listed in the order they appear on my paper TBR, from oldest to newest. All covers are linked to Goodreads.

Books I'm taking off my paper TBR

The Wicker King, by K. Ancrum

Cuckoo Song, by Frances Hardinge

Weaveworld, by Clive Barker

Redefining Realness, by Janet Mock

Two-Headed Woman (by Lucille Clifton?)

I didn't write down the author's name, so I have to assume this is the book I meant

Bat 6 (by Virginia Euwer Wolff?)

Again, no author listed

Frosted (no idea of author's name; I can't find it on Goodreads)

I remember vaguely that this was supposed to be a fantasy mashup of Pride and Prejudice and Frozen.

Along Came a Spider, by James Patterson

One for the Money - Skye Warren? Janet Evanovich? Jeaniene Frost?

No clue, but I'm not interested in any of these.

The Cuckoo's Calling, by Robert Galbraith

Rocket Mass Heaters, by Ianto Evans

Forest Bathing (no author)

There are so many books with this title, I don't even know where to start

The Matriarch: Barbara Bush and the Making of an American Dynasty, by Susan Page

True Reagan: What Made Ronald Reagan Great and Why it Matters, by James Rosebush

The Practicing Herbalist, by Margi Flint

Smart Permaculture Design, by Jenny Allen

The Blood Sugar Solution, by Mark Hyman

Locust in the Sandbox, by Cynthia Gray

The Afterward, by E.K. Johnston

Before I Let Go, by Marieke Nijkamp

Intuitive Eating, by Evelyn Tribole & Elyse Resch

The Love Hypothesis, by Ali Hazelwood

Grow Your Own Tea, by Christine Parks and Susan M. Walcott

I started out with 177 books and purged 23 ... only 154 to go! 😅 Have you read any of these? Are there any you'd like to read? Do you think I should put any of these back on my TBR?

  1. I was nodding along, “wow, this will help take that number down”, but then the number is still 154💀😂 best wishes with the paper TBR!
